PREPARATION OF WATER AND SANITATION STUDIES, DESIGN AND SUPERVISION OF THE IMPLEMENTATION United Nations Office at Nairobi (hereinafter refered to as UNON) on behalf of the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-HABITAT) Egypt Programme is seeking to establish Contract with qualified contractor(s) for Preparation Of Water And Sanitation Studies, Design And Supervision Of The Implementation At Qena City, Egypt . The service will ultimately result in preparing an Assessment and Action plan report that includes infrastructure situation assessment gap analysis, infrastructure project implementation plan, feasibility study, technical designs and drawings, tender documents and supervision of construction and implementation. The scope of service consists of three Milestones: First milestone: Water and sanitation current situation assessment in term of Qena city strategic plan: 1.Review and analyze the existing plans for water and sanitation systems at Qena city especially for Hayenna project’s selected sites. 2.Evaluate the current water and sanitation systems and networks status according to the available official data against the national performance and service standards in the Egyptian code, rates targeted by the strategic plan, and the sectoral operating rates approved by national companies. 3.Identify needs, consumption rates in water and sanitation sector at inner city site based on the proposed population from the strategic and detailed plans. 4.Prepare the initial projects priority list for both sites. 5.Support the decision process for the selection of infrastructure projects 6.Check the government implementation plans for the project’s sites if any. Second milestone: Preparation of selected project initial design, feasibility study, final design, tender documents, estimated costs, bill of quantities and implementation plan in accordance with the project timeline: 1.Prepare the designs, according to the Egyptian codes, and implement the Environmental and social Impact studies. 2.Prepare the needed technical and financial feasibility study (for selected project/s to be implemented) 3.Prepare the implementation strategy and action plan for selected sites in collaboration with the QWSC and project’s stakeholders. 4.Support contract clarification and preparation with national entities responsible for infrastructure provision Third milestone: Contract Management and Construction Supervision: 1.Provide technical support to UN-Habitat to conduct the necessary agreement with national entities to implement the selected project/s 2.Support the tendering process and contracting of works and supplies in the name of QWSC (includes Evaluation of received offers) 3.Supervise the project(s) construction and implementation. 4.Attend all required coordination meetings on site, with the governorate, with the companies and all other relevant entities. 5.Prepare and submit a monthly progress report comparing to the expected plan and agreed timeframe. عرض المناقصة والملفات بالاسفل
